An Extra Said Filming Fast And Furious With Paul Walker Got ‘Chaotic’

Paul Walker’s memory continues to be immortalized by Fast & Furious.
The Fast & Furious franchise was never the same after Paul Walker’s tragic death in 2013. Critics even had mixed reactions to adding his character through CGI in the latter movies, with the help of his brothers Cody and Caleb.

But it wasn’t easy to pull that off, according to Bill Brzeski, the production designer of Furious 7. “When Paul Walker passed away, recreating him for Fast 7 was a laborious thing,” he explained to Looper.
“It costs a lot of money and a lot of time to do. It was a terrible tragedy and he had a third of the movie to go,” he continued. “People don’t really realize how much of the movie he had left. They worked around it and it was hard.”

The thing is, fans aren’t on board with the idea of having a CGI of Walker in any more movies. “I think a deepfake Paul the whole movie would feel weird,” a Redditor wrote.
They also suggested that “they could just have [Caleb] or someone play him and we accept the recast for the finale. But they need to do it just right.”

And while we’re on the subject, an extra once said that filming a scene with the She’s All That alum got “chaotic.” Here’s a closer look at Walker’s time in Fast & Furious.
How Did The Fast & The Furious Cast Cope With Paul Walker’s Death? For Vin Diesel, losing Walker was like losing a brother. “People go, ‘What’s it like making a movie without Pablo,’ and that’s not the right question,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “What’s it like living without your brother, know what I mean? It’s not about making a movie.”

He also told Access Hollywood: “I leaned on him, and he was my rock.” In fact, Diesel named his youngest daughter after the Varsity Blues star. “When I was in the delivery room and writing down her name, even my mom to this day says, ‘Pablo was in the room with you,’” he recalled.
As for Michelle Rodriguez, Walker served as inspiration for “reprogramming” her life after losing it when he passed. “I felt like nothing I could do could make me feel alive, so I just kept pushing myself harder and harder,” she remembered. “I was traveling and I was having sex. And I was just trying to ignore everything that I was feeling.”
Tyrese Gibson — who bonded with Walker after realizing the same woman was cheating on both of them — admitted that watching Furious 7 broke his heart. “I have more bad memories than good, because all of the fun and all of the magic that we had going before Paul Walker’s untimely death, the trauma of losing him superseded all of that,” he explained at that time.
“Once Furious 7 came out, it was hard to watch. So I definitely don’t have that one on repeat,” he added. Gibson also credited his late friend for getting him back in the franchise. “Paul Walker single-handedly got me back in the franchise, for sure,” he once said.
How Did Filming Fast & The Furious With Paul Walker Get ‘Chaotic’?Under a “Tea Thread” on the gossip subreddit Fauxmoi, extras spilled tea on their experiences working with celebrities. An experienced extra — who once played a Chilton student in Gilmore Girls — wrote about the “extremely chaotic” night they did a scene with Walker on the first Fast & Furious movie.
An extremely chaotic night shoot was on the first Fast & the Furious movie. It was an outdoor party scene that was out of control,” they recounted. “Literally people openly doing drugs & having sex. It was A LOT.”
They noted that “the one scene we did over & over was one where Paul Walker had to squeeze through a crowd & every time he had to squeeze past me” where “every time [,] he’d gently put his hand on my lower back.” The extra said they couldn’t believe they were getting paid for it before adding that “the chaos was worth it.”
What Did Critics Think Of Paul Walker In Fast X?In May 2023, shortly after the premiere of Fast X, Slash Film published a review, claiming that the installment’s “Attempt To Honor Paul Walker Is Retroactively Ruining Brian O’Conner.”
Rafael Motamayor wrapped the article by writing: “Keeping Brian [Walker’s character] alive but unable to do anything to help his family means the franchise is destroying what made it special and beloved in the first place.”
Speaking to Total Film, Fast X director, Louis Leterrier justified the controversial decision, saying: “Well, Brian is very much alive in the world of Fast & Furious, and they’ve teased him a lot in the previous movies. In 9, we see the car coming. It’s something that is planned. This movie jumps back and forth between the past and the present.”
He noted that “you will see Brian in the past, you won’t see Brian in the present. It’s something that everybody has to be on board with. The Walker family is still very much a part of this franchise, you’ll see how in this movie.”
Leterrier then concluded: “It just has to be the right moment, the right tone. I think what James Wan did at the end of 7 was perfect. The tone was perfect. Brian has to re-enter the franchise as perfectly as he left it.”

‘I am officially off the market’: When Margot Robbie revealed she made the ‘conscious’ decision of not dating actors

Margot Robbie revealed her decision to not date actors because of the media scrutiny that came with a public relationship of two high-profile actors
Back in 2015, A-lister Margot Robbie made a declaration that she would not be dating any actors. The actress may have alluded to her fiance Tom Ackerley, who she married the following year in 2016. In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire, she revealed that being in a relationship as an actor herself came with its own set of challenges. She believed that dating someone who was popular would add on to the media scrutiny.

Margot Robbie opened up on why she made a conscious decision to not date actorsTalking to Marie Claire, she claimed, “I am officially off the market.” She then shared the reasoning behind her decision and added, “I made a conscious decision not to date actors.” She continued to explain, “But not because I hate actors. That’s a nasty generalization to make, and that’s not the case. People take such an interest in your love life when you have a profile, it puts a lot of stress on a relationship.”
The Barbie actress continued, “So two people with profiles, I figure it’s just double the amount of scrutiny, and I’d like to avoid that at all costs.” This came after reports of her locking lips with Tarzan co-star Alexander Skarsgard started making rounds. It was reported that she was caught kissing the actor during the Sundance Film Festival.

Margot Robbie revealed she opted for a minimal lifestyle even after becoming an actorIn the interview, Robbie also opened up about how she was adapting to fame. She shared, “I have a normal 24-year-old life. If I were a waitress, I’d probably have the exact same lifestyle. I’d go to the same clubs I go to already, live in the same house with the same housemates, hang out with the same people.”
However, Margot Robbie tied the knot with Tom Ackerley who is an English producer and actor. The duo met on the sets of 2013 movie Suite Francaise where Tom was working as an assistant director. Post marriage, both of them launched their production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

‘Rocky’ Was Quite Different In His Original Screenplay, Sylvester Stallone Claims

Sylvester Stallone took his friend’s advice on a rewrite of the original screenplay to Rocky. A few tweaks later, he was on his way to major success.
In the new Netflix documentary Sly, Stallone discussed how he initially conceived of the project, which had a much harder edge. In the early version, Rocky was depicted as a “thuggish” character, inspired by Martin Scorsese’s crime drama, Mean Streets.

But Stallone’s perspective changed when a friend read the script and thought the boxer was too cruel for audiences to actually care about him.
Stallone recalled her crying.

“She goes, ‘I hate Rocky. I hate him. He’s cruel. He hits people. He beats them up.’”
Stallone took it to heart, and asked what he could do to soften the character.

“I said, ‘what if you stop short of it?’ Like, maybe he almost did. He could have, that’s his job, but he doesn’t?’ ‘That’d be nice,’” he added. “I said, ‘What if he had a girlfriend or something?’ ‘Yeah, that’s nice.’ So I go back, start writing that: ‘Girlfriend. Nice.’”
$117 million in box office later, a franchise was born.

Stallone also revealed that actor Dolph Lundgren sent him to the hospital during one fight scene in Rocky IV.
“Dolph Lundgren… he pulverized me,” Stallone says in the documentary. “Later that night, my heart started to swell—which happens when the heart hits the chest—and then my blood pressure went up to 260, and they thought I was going to be talking to angels. Next thing I know, I’m in intensive care, where I’m surrounded by nuns, and I thought, ‘OK, that’s curtains.’”
Stallone was in the hospital for nine days following the incident, praying for “one more round.”
“For the first minute of the fight, it is going to be a free-for-all,” Stallone told Lundgren. The Swedish actor joked in a separate interview that all he did was “obey orders,” explaining, “[Stallone] was the boss. I did what he told me.”
Doctors allegedly told Stallone that he received a blow to the ribs that made his heart rattle around in his ribcage, a condition typically seen in head-on collisions. “I did hit a bus, of sorts,” Stallone joked.
