10 Continuity Errors In Nickelodeon’s Hey Arnold!

In 1996, Nickelodeon fans met the football head himself in Hey Arnold. The animated show was about a boy named Arnold and his day-to-day life as a teen in the city. He lives with his grandparents in an apartment building (that they rent out to other likable characters that we meet along the way) and hangs out with his best friend Gerald, the neighborhood bully Helga, and everyone else at P.S. 118.

The show lasted for five seasons and spiraled into two movies. But as great as the show was (for an animated series, the writers sure did cover some dark storylines), there were some continuity errors that fans noticed over the years. If you’re feeling nostalgic, keep scrolling to see 10 of them below!

When The Book Changes Color In The Middle Of The Scene

In the episode “Gerald Moves Out,” Gerald walks in on his sister ruining his cassette tape to wrap her books. He’s sick and tired of being at home so he moves into Arnold’s boarding home.
However, he soon realizes that life on his own isn’t how he imagined. But if we go back to the scene of Gerald’s sister’s ruining his cassette tape, we can see that the school book quickly changes colors from blue to green.

The Hey Arnold Universe Was Known For Misspelling Things On Purpose

Diehard fans of Hey Arnold will realize that there are misspellings throughout the series. This is supposedly done on purpose because it happens so often.

One example of this is the board behind Helga in class. Instead of saying “United States,” the board says “Nvited States.” It’s not clear what they’re learning as the board only has different color circles on it but it’s an interesting pop-up throughout the series.

Did Grandma Go Gray At The Thought Of Arnold’s Parents Leaving?

In the episode “Parent’s Day,” P.S. 118 has its annual Parent’s Day celebration where families go head-to-head doing various competitions against other families. With Arnold losing his parents and being raised by his grandparents, he felt like the odd man out at school.
In a sad throwback memory to the last time they saw Arnold’s parents, we see Grandma saying goodbye with brown hair. But seconds later, Grandma is seen again with grey hair. Was saying goodbye to Arnold’s parents so upsetting that she turned grey?

How Many Floors Does Arnold’s Building Really Have?

Arnold’s boarding house seems pretty big when we think about all the characters that call this building home but from the outside, there are only two floors.
In one particular episode, Arnold and Gerald are heading to Oskar’s apartment and are seen walking up three flights of stairs but if they’re walking up three flights of stairs, wouldn’t that mean there should be another level to the building? It would be one thing if there were tenants living in the basement but that’s not the case in Hey Arnold.

Lorenzo Isn’t That New

Lorenzo isn’t a main character in Hey Arnold but he did have a few episodes where his wealth became a focus of the show.

In the episode “Arnold’s Room,” Sid asks Lorenzo if they can work on a project together. Lorenzo is one of the wealthier kids in class and Sid’s excited to hang out in a real mansion. However, later in the season in an episode called “Rich Kid,” Lorenzo is the new kid in school. It’s as if he’s never met any of the kids before, even though Sid was over his house earlier that year…

Check Out Maria’s Toes!

Maria is one of the popular sixth-graders who asked Arnold to be her date to the school dance. While she’s pretty, fashionable, and stylish, Maria can be super manipulative and isn’t very nice.
In one episode, we see her sunbathing with her best friend Connie. If you look at her feet (as seen on the left), she has four toes but later in the episode, she has three toes! Did she lose one while sunbathing?!

Did The Artists Not Like Rhonda’s Outfit?

In the episode “Ms. Perfect,” we meet new girl Lila Sawyer. She’s beautiful, sweet, smart — she’s the whole package (and the apple of Arnold’s eye).
However, the other girls begin to feel threatened by Lila and out of jealousy do everything they can to make her life miserable. While the girls are talking on during recess, Rhonda is wearing an outfit that’s vert Lila — a blue skirt with a matching top and beret. But as the scene changes, Rhonda is suddenly wearing her normal red and black ensemble! Why did she change?

Does Oskar Not Have An Address?

Remember Oskar? He’s the rude tenant who lives in Arnold’s apartment building. In the episode “Baby Oskar,” we see his wife babysit her sister’s baby for the weekend. It’s in this episode that we see how truly lazy Oskar is. He’s totally dependent on his wife and becomes irritated when she spends all her attention on the baby.
To hide from the baby’s cries, Oskar places the baby outside his apartment, where we can clearly see a number seven on the door. But moments later, Oskar is back at his front door and it no longer has a door number on it. This happens multiple times throughout the episode.

An Episode About Arnold Losing His Hat (And Yet He’s Wearing His Hat)

In the episode “Arnold’s Hat,” Arnold loses his precious hat that he’s had since he was a baby. In fact, Arnold is kind of known for his hat since it’s way smaller than his head and its only purpose is to cover the bald spot on his head.
While he’s talking to his grandpa about missing his hat, we see his grandpa put his arm around Arnold where he’s all of sudden wearing his hat! The two are literally talking about missing that hat while he’s wearing it… Seconds later in another scene, the hat is no longer on Arnold’s hat but it was a silly mistake to make when the entire episode was about said hat.

Where Did All The Bikes Go?

In the episode “Eugene’s Bike,” Eugene is pumped about his new, shiny bike. But in a quick incident, Arnold accidentally destroys Eugene’s bike when all the bikes tip over on the bike rack and pushes his bike to the middle of the street where it’s then run over. Eugene is devastated and Arnold feels awful.
We see Eugene crying in the street while looking at his squashed bike but in the background, there are no bikes on the rack! What happened to all the bikes that pushed Eugene’s into the street?!

‘I am officially off the market’: When Margot Robbie revealed she made the ‘conscious’ decision of not dating actors

Margot Robbie revealed her decision to not date actors because of the media scrutiny that came with a public relationship of two high-profile actors
Back in 2015, A-lister Margot Robbie made a declaration that she would not be dating any actors. The actress may have alluded to her fiance Tom Ackerley, who she married the following year in 2016. In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire, she revealed that being in a relationship as an actor herself came with its own set of challenges. She believed that dating someone who was popular would add on to the media scrutiny.

Margot Robbie opened up on why she made a conscious decision to not date actorsTalking to Marie Claire, she claimed, “I am officially off the market.” She then shared the reasoning behind her decision and added, “I made a conscious decision not to date actors.” She continued to explain, “But not because I hate actors. That’s a nasty generalization to make, and that’s not the case. People take such an interest in your love life when you have a profile, it puts a lot of stress on a relationship.”
The Barbie actress continued, “So two people with profiles, I figure it’s just double the amount of scrutiny, and I’d like to avoid that at all costs.” This came after reports of her locking lips with Tarzan co-star Alexander Skarsgard started making rounds. It was reported that she was caught kissing the actor during the Sundance Film Festival.

Margot Robbie revealed she opted for a minimal lifestyle even after becoming an actorIn the interview, Robbie also opened up about how she was adapting to fame. She shared, “I have a normal 24-year-old life. If I were a waitress, I’d probably have the exact same lifestyle. I’d go to the same clubs I go to already, live in the same house with the same housemates, hang out with the same people.”
However, Margot Robbie tied the knot with Tom Ackerley who is an English producer and actor. The duo met on the sets of 2013 movie Suite Francaise where Tom was working as an assistant director. Post marriage, both of them launched their production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

‘Rocky’ Was Quite Different In His Original Screenplay, Sylvester Stallone Claims

Sylvester Stallone took his friend’s advice on a rewrite of the original screenplay to Rocky. A few tweaks later, he was on his way to major success.
In the new Netflix documentary Sly, Stallone discussed how he initially conceived of the project, which had a much harder edge. In the early version, Rocky was depicted as a “thuggish” character, inspired by Martin Scorsese’s crime drama, Mean Streets.

But Stallone’s perspective changed when a friend read the script and thought the boxer was too cruel for audiences to actually care about him.
Stallone recalled her crying.

“She goes, ‘I hate Rocky. I hate him. He’s cruel. He hits people. He beats them up.’”
Stallone took it to heart, and asked what he could do to soften the character.

“I said, ‘what if you stop short of it?’ Like, maybe he almost did. He could have, that’s his job, but he doesn’t?’ ‘That’d be nice,’” he added. “I said, ‘What if he had a girlfriend or something?’ ‘Yeah, that’s nice.’ So I go back, start writing that: ‘Girlfriend. Nice.’”
$117 million in box office later, a franchise was born.

Stallone also revealed that actor Dolph Lundgren sent him to the hospital during one fight scene in Rocky IV.
“Dolph Lundgren… he pulverized me,” Stallone says in the documentary. “Later that night, my heart started to swell—which happens when the heart hits the chest—and then my blood pressure went up to 260, and they thought I was going to be talking to angels. Next thing I know, I’m in intensive care, where I’m surrounded by nuns, and I thought, ‘OK, that’s curtains.’”
Stallone was in the hospital for nine days following the incident, praying for “one more round.”
“For the first minute of the fight, it is going to be a free-for-all,” Stallone told Lundgren. The Swedish actor joked in a separate interview that all he did was “obey orders,” explaining, “[Stallone] was the boss. I did what he told me.”
Doctors allegedly told Stallone that he received a blow to the ribs that made his heart rattle around in his ribcage, a condition typically seen in head-on collisions. “I did hit a bus, of sorts,” Stallone joked.
