Henry Cavill May be the Perfect Choice to Play Guts in Berserk Live Action: 6 Other Stars Who are Worthy Enough to Play the Badass Black Swordsman

Cavill’s rigorous fitness regime and Greek God body make him a great choice for the role.
Berserk is regarded as one of the most epic dark fantasy Seinen manga ever. Originally created by the late Kentaro Miura, it is set in a medieval Europe-inspired fantasy world centering around the story of Guts, a badass black swordsman, and Griffith, the gang leader of a mercenary band that goes by the name “Band of the Hawk”.

Considering the epic character of Guts, several actors from Hollywood could get in line to play the badass black swordsman in a live-action remake. Among these, the perfect casting would undoubtedly be Henry Cavill. Here are all the reasons why.
Why Henry Cavill Is The Perfect Casting For Guts In Berserk Live Action

Henry Cavill is renowned for the dark characters he has played to date. This specifically includes his Clark Kent aka Superman from the Zack Snyder era. As compared to all the other actors selected for the role, Cavill’s portrayal of the Kryptonian was by far the darkest and most perfect there has ever been.
Furthermore, his remarkable portrayal of Theseus in Immortals, the mythological genre film, adds to his brave and immortal appearance required for Guts. Then there’s his stoic Geral of Rivia performance in The Witcher, through which he has enhanced the fearsome qualities of his acting persona.

Adding to all this is his Greek God body, which is more than perfect to showcase the formidable personality of the badass black swordsman aka Guts in a live-action Berserk remake. Considering all of this, Henry Cavill will not only be the most accurate but also the most immaculate choice for Guts to ever exist.
However, there are more options as well, since Hollywood is full of ripped guys who can unsurprisingly give a whole new edge and the perfect demeanor to a live-action Guts. Here are six worthy actors to play the swordsman in a live-action remake of the superhit Seinen manga, Berserk.

6 Other Actors Worthy Enough To Play Guts1. Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson has had his fair share of dark and broody roles as well. He has already played a brooding, broken Superhero aka Batman on the big screen in DC’s The Batman directed by Matt Reeves.
Not only this but his dark role as Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series further adds to his incredible ability for playing a dark character. While most would prefer him for Griffith instead, Pattinson could do an equally remarkable job at playing Guts in Berserk.
2. Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck is not a new name when it comes to gloomy and brooding characters. This comes after his spectacular performance as Batman during Zack Snyder’s era in DC. Adding to this is his portrayal of Bartleby in Dogma, the 1999 fantasy superhit. The movie isn’t the perfect example because of its comedy, but it still adds to his charisma as a mythical character.
Although he is slightly too old to play the dark mystical character of Guts, his age would add all the more charm to his brooding character and he could still do an exceptional job and win the worldwide audience’s hearts — just like he did with Batman.
3. Stephen Amell
Stephen Amell is one of those few actors who don’t even need justification for having his name on this list. With his rigorous fitness regime resulting in his terrifically ripped body, he could be one of the best choices for playing Guts in a live-action remake.
Furthermore, his character Oliver Queen’s mean and pretty dark traits in DC’s superhit series, Arrow, add even more depth to how dark and gory a portrayal of the badass swordsman he can give.
4. Chris Hemsworth
Chris Hemsworth is renowned for his mythical portrayal of Thor in films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But while his character doesn’t entirely seem like a gruesome one in the other films, Avengers: Infinity War specifically showed a different and darker perspective to his character as someone who has lost everything.
Looking at him completely immersed in his dark portrayal of Thor along with his outstanding sword-wielding skills shown in Snow White and the Huntsman, Hemsworth could actually pull a few strings loose by learning his Marvel character’s traits and give an immaculate performance as Guts on the big screen.
5. Sebastian Stan
Everybody saw what Sebastian Stan is capable of in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and every appearance of him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as James Buchanan Barnes aka Bucky that followed.
With a body as muscular as his and his ability to fully take on a dark role, Stan aka The Winter Soldier could completely immerse worldwide audiences by single-handedly (pun intended) coming the closest to Guts.
6. Mackenyu
If we’re completely honest here, Mackenyu could give the utter best performance as Guts in any live-action remake of Berserk. He knows how to handle a dark character and his ability to wield a sword further adds a plus point to him being the perfect match for the badass swordsman.
Plus, Mackenyu has had his fair share of starring in anime live-action adaptations like Rurouni Kenshin and One Piece. His epic portrayal of Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s One Piece adds another star to his already perfect and accurate resume for playing a dark manga character on the big screen.

‘I am officially off the market’: When Margot Robbie revealed she made the ‘conscious’ decision of not dating actors

Margot Robbie revealed her decision to not date actors because of the media scrutiny that came with a public relationship of two high-profile actors
Back in 2015, A-lister Margot Robbie made a declaration that she would not be dating any actors. The actress may have alluded to her fiance Tom Ackerley, who she married the following year in 2016. In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire, she revealed that being in a relationship as an actor herself came with its own set of challenges. She believed that dating someone who was popular would add on to the media scrutiny.

Margot Robbie opened up on why she made a conscious decision to not date actorsTalking to Marie Claire, she claimed, “I am officially off the market.” She then shared the reasoning behind her decision and added, “I made a conscious decision not to date actors.” She continued to explain, “But not because I hate actors. That’s a nasty generalization to make, and that’s not the case. People take such an interest in your love life when you have a profile, it puts a lot of stress on a relationship.”
The Barbie actress continued, “So two people with profiles, I figure it’s just double the amount of scrutiny, and I’d like to avoid that at all costs.” This came after reports of her locking lips with Tarzan co-star Alexander Skarsgard started making rounds. It was reported that she was caught kissing the actor during the Sundance Film Festival.

Margot Robbie revealed she opted for a minimal lifestyle even after becoming an actorIn the interview, Robbie also opened up about how she was adapting to fame. She shared, “I have a normal 24-year-old life. If I were a waitress, I’d probably have the exact same lifestyle. I’d go to the same clubs I go to already, live in the same house with the same housemates, hang out with the same people.”
However, Margot Robbie tied the knot with Tom Ackerley who is an English producer and actor. The duo met on the sets of 2013 movie Suite Francaise where Tom was working as an assistant director. Post marriage, both of them launched their production company LuckyChap Entertainment.

‘Rocky’ Was Quite Different In His Original Screenplay, Sylvester Stallone Claims

Sylvester Stallone took his friend’s advice on a rewrite of the original screenplay to Rocky. A few tweaks later, he was on his way to major success.
In the new Netflix documentary Sly, Stallone discussed how he initially conceived of the project, which had a much harder edge. In the early version, Rocky was depicted as a “thuggish” character, inspired by Martin Scorsese’s crime drama, Mean Streets.

But Stallone’s perspective changed when a friend read the script and thought the boxer was too cruel for audiences to actually care about him.
Stallone recalled her crying.

“She goes, ‘I hate Rocky. I hate him. He’s cruel. He hits people. He beats them up.’”
Stallone took it to heart, and asked what he could do to soften the character.

“I said, ‘what if you stop short of it?’ Like, maybe he almost did. He could have, that’s his job, but he doesn’t?’ ‘That’d be nice,’” he added. “I said, ‘What if he had a girlfriend or something?’ ‘Yeah, that’s nice.’ So I go back, start writing that: ‘Girlfriend. Nice.’”
$117 million in box office later, a franchise was born.

Stallone also revealed that actor Dolph Lundgren sent him to the hospital during one fight scene in Rocky IV.
“Dolph Lundgren… he pulverized me,” Stallone says in the documentary. “Later that night, my heart started to swell—which happens when the heart hits the chest—and then my blood pressure went up to 260, and they thought I was going to be talking to angels. Next thing I know, I’m in intensive care, where I’m surrounded by nuns, and I thought, ‘OK, that’s curtains.’”
Stallone was in the hospital for nine days following the incident, praying for “one more round.”
“For the first minute of the fight, it is going to be a free-for-all,” Stallone told Lundgren. The Swedish actor joked in a separate interview that all he did was “obey orders,” explaining, “[Stallone] was the boss. I did what he told me.”
Doctors allegedly told Stallone that he received a blow to the ribs that made his heart rattle around in his ribcage, a condition typically seen in head-on collisions. “I did hit a bus, of sorts,” Stallone joked.
